Drew Keys
Andrew “Drew Keys” “Stro Don” Stoch was a prolific Grammy nominated composer, producer, musician and an extraordinary person.
Drew was a creative force, a highly melodic and inventive player on keyboards, trombone, synth, melodica, Ableton and a true dub sniper. Drew toured all over the world with The Common Kings, Jo Mersa Marley, Shaggy, Pressure Busspipe, with the Marley family label “Ghetto Youths” tour which included MERSA, Baby Cham, Wayne Marshall, Christopher Ellis, and Black Am I! He toured with Cham and Mikey Dread as well as many others. He worked side by side with the incomparable Zion I Kings creating roots reggae music for incredible artists and legends that are deeply spiritual, creative and other-worldly.
He produced, played and worked with artists at his studio, Haze St. Studios, through his label, Haze St. Dub including Akae Beka, Chronixx, Bounty Killer, Protoje, Pressure Busspipe, Micah Shemaiah, Perfect Giddimani, Jah Mikey, Ras Teo, Marcus Gad, Jemere Morgan, Mixed Culture, Arkaingelle amongst many others.
Drew lived his life simply, helping others wherever he was, whenever he could. He brought joy to people all over the world, whether performing for the troupes overseas, creating musical campaigns for Haitian children or feeding local children with disabilities. Drew especially cared about helping disenfranchised children and he did so quietly in many different ways.
Gone far too soon, we honor Drew’s life, his immense light, legacy and his care for others with this, the Drew Keys Haze St. Foundation.
